I take significant pleasure in videogames, make no mistake about it. I am a huge fan of the minimalism founded by the technical limitations of the NES, Game Boy, and many early arcade titles, and respect the medium for its ability to generate immersive storrytelling through unique, situational encounters. Think random battles, or dropped loot; a botmatch; even a game of chess. The drama arises from the system: an infinite storybook.
